Whispers
Second time painting one of my secret painting spots. The sunflowers have multiplied and are competing for real estate on the skyline - the foliage has grown substantially. I thought painting the same place twice would lack inspiration - quite the opposite, It was like visiting a child that has all grown up. One lesson in painting and in life, the only constant guaranteed is change. The great thing about revisiting the same scene is the ability to experiment frequently, Revisiting a place, makes it easier for an artist to notice, catch, and record new observations. In this scene I experimented with downward strokes of the brush to paint the wet ground and loosened up the sunflowers to allot for more natural feel.
