A sneak peek into spring day. My son and I walked up to Nike park just a few blocks from where we live. It was a rare sunny day. Its usually gray and rainy here but today was unusual and a nice day to begin painting in plein air. While he rode his bike around, I found a nice spot in the trail. Nike park is an old miscile base complete with a children's playground, an open field, and natural trails. Someone sprinkled bright orange mulch along the trail (probably so folks don't take a wrong turn and fall down a cliff). The contrast with the darkness of the dark, wet forest was a bit striking. Although sping starts 5.20, already some bright white and lavendar wild flowers are starting to bloom.
